Stage 1: Farm and harvest
Produce is grown on certified farms and harvested to your specification — stem length for flowers, size and maturity for chillies, cut stage for herbs. Harvest happens early morning when field heat is lowest.
Stage 2: Quality inspection and grading
At the packhouse, every lot is graded against the agreed specification: colour, size, firmness, freedom from defects. Anything below grade is removed before packing — not discovered on your arrival bay.

Stage 3: Packaging
Flowers are bunched, sleeved and boxed; herbs are punneted, bunched or flow-wrapped and labelled; chillies are packed in lined, ventilated cartons. Packaging follows your market's materials and labelling rules.
Stage 4: Rapid cooling and cold storage
Packed produce is pre-cooled to remove field heat, then held in the packhouse cold room at the correct temperature for each line until the truck leaves for the airport.
Stage 5: Documentation
KEPHIS inspects the consignment and issues the phytosanitary certificate. The commercial invoice, packing list and airway bill complete the set, and scanned copies reach you before the flight departs.
Stage 6: Air freight logistics
Consignments are delivered into the airline cold room at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and booked on scheduled passenger or freighter services. Nairobi has daily connections across Africa, Europe, the Gulf and Asia.
Stage 7: International delivery
Your clearing agent collects on arrival — most African destinations within 24 hours, Europe, the Gulf and Central Asia within 24–48 hours. You inspect, send feedback, and the next shipment is adjusted to match.
